March 2025: The New 70-m Oceanographic and Fisheries Research Vessel desgined by SKIPASÝN for Hafrannsóknastofnunar arrived in Iceland on March 8th. Many valuable innovations make R/V Þórunn Þórðardóttir HF 300 stand out among modern scientific vessels.
67-m FREEZER TRAWLER KEEL-LAYING
January 2025: The keel for the 67-m Freezer Trawler newbuilding designed by SKIPASÝN for HG hf. has been laid. The first vessel in a serie was recognized as the Best Trawler 2022. The newbuilding is updated according to the Customer´s preferences.
58-m FRESHFISH TRAWLER ARRIVED
December 2024: New 58-m Freshfish Trawler Hulda Björnsdóttir GK-11 arrived to it´s homeport Grindavík.
Based on evaluations of the sea trial results, the vessel is expected to be the most fuel-efficient among the fresh fish trawler fleets.

Keel Laying procedure for the new 70-m Oceanography and Fishery Sceintific-Research Vessel designed by SKIPASÝN for Marine and Freshwater Research Institute of Iceland has happened at the Armon Shipyards in Vigo, Spain.

Freshfish Trawler newbuilding designed by SKIPASÝN for Þorbjörn hf., which is currently under construction by Armon Shipyards in Gijón, Spain, will bear the name Hulda Björnsdóttir GK-11. She was one of the founders of the company in 1953.
